OxBlue makes new Screensaver service available to clients at no charge. The service allows project teams to know the status of construction more often with less effort. The service allows a user's desktop screensaver to display the most recent photos and project information from each active project.

The ND DOT project team and thousands of spectators gathered online to watch the demolition of the Liberty Memorial Bridge. Although there weren't many fireworks, two additional segments will be demolished in the coming weeks. Demolition occured October 6, 2008 just after 10am. OxBlue is now offering a line of professional grade solar-ready construction webcams and solar power stations to run them. The new wirelss outdoor camera units provide the same high-definition image capabilities of the popular OxBlue construction cameras.

The solar offering has been designed for transportation to remote sites and simple installation. The solar power stations provide digital readouts on wireless camera system status and performance. They are comprised of battery banks managed by an automated charge controller system. The wireless outdoor camera unit is housed in a pole-mountable, lockable aluminum enclosure, with lightning protection and circuit-breakers for both the solar array and battery banks.

Oxblue now offers a 4 megapixel resolution construction camera system. The 4mp cellular system will become the new standard OxBlue product with 33% higher resolution then the previous standard system. This increases the resolution offered by the standard OxBlue system to more than 50x that of a typical webcam and to more than 10x that of a standard television. The 4mp system is also priced to be a best value for customers selecting a construction webcam system.

OxBlue launches a major software update to include many new features customers have been asking for. The new features include online time-lapses, project weather data, interactive slideshow and project dashboards. These updates are a direct result of feedback received from the 2007 OxBlue customer survey earlier this year.

Project Dashboard: The Project Dashboard, previously only available in OxBlue Pro, will now be available in the Standard version as well. Want a centralized way to monitor cameras across several jobsites without having to log onto separate web addresses? This feature lets you do it.

Online Time-Lapse: The online interface will allow users to view time-lapse movies of the construction progress through the OxBlue interface. Each movie will cover the entire duration of construction, from the first day the camera was setup to the most recent completed day of construction activity.

Interactive Slide-show: The interactive slide-show rotates through each of the most recent photos from the client's active jobsites. This update requires a minimum of three cameras to operate and will be available to all customers who have 3 or more active cameras.

Weather: The current weather condition is now displayed for each site. In addition, each image now captured will be associated with its corresponding weather data. As projects progress, it will now be possible to go back in time and look at past weather conditions on the jobsite.

British Columbia Ministry of Transportation launches new webcams to view the William R. Bennett Bridge Project. The new bridge is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2008 and will be one of the few floating bridges in North America. A major retailer of sports shoes deploys the OxBlue system on multiple projects in Italy.

The OxBlue camera system is deployed for the first time in the United Kingdom, on a major green field data center project for a multinational investment firm, in the town of Basingstoke outside London.

OxBlue camera system deployed for Army Hawaii Family Housing program in Oahu, Hawaii. The $2.3 billion program includes 5,400 new rental homes and more than 2,500 renovations at 19 Army locations in Hawaii over the next 10 years. It is the largest privatization project by the U.S. Army to date.

McHugh Construction selects OxBlue for a unique U.S. Navy project: building an indoor mockup of a Missile Cruiser for combat training at a Navy facility in Michigan. The project was featured in ENR cover story "New Naval Training Building Transforms Recruits Into Sailors" ENR March 27, 2006.

Boh Brothers deploys OxBlue on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' 17th St. Canal flood gate project in New Orleans. The 3-month fast track project was a key part of preparations for the 2006 hurricane season.

The Art Institute of Chicago deploys the OxBlue system for construction of the $250-million + North Wing addition. The 264,000 SF facility, designed by acclaimed architect Renzo Piano, will provide a home for the museum's scattered collection of modern and contemporary art along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Marriott International deploys OxBlue system on a $200 million expansion at its Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center, the largest hotel in the Marriott portfolio.

Miami Valley South Health Center (Dayton, OH) selects the OxBlue system for its 268,000 square foot new outpatient facility.

Scripps Memorial Hospital selects the OxBlue system for its $100-million+ expansion at its Encinitas, CA campus.

OxBlue releases a six mega pixel version of its standard webcam system.

The University of Chicago selects the OxBlue system for its new 325,800 SF Center for Biomedical Discovery research facility. Turner Construction is CM on the $162 million fast-track project.

National fashion retailer Sephora signs a multi-cam deal to monitor interiors construction at all of its new and renovated retail stores. Monitoring interiors construction is a new twist on the use of OxBlue webcams.

The OxBlue system is deployed on a massive shopping center development project in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

Peninsula Mills Hospital, a private not-for-profit, deploys the OxBlue system on its $488-million, state-of-the-art replacement hospital in Burlingame, south of San Francisco, CA.

The OxBlue system is deployed on the 264-bed, $360 million New Children's Hospital project in Aurora, CO.

A joint venture of Skanska USA and Shook deploy the OxBlue system on a new 750,000 SF, 250-bed hospital at Middletown Regional Hospital's Health and Technology Campus in Middletown, OH.

Essex County Hospital Center, Cedar Grove NJ, selects the OxBlue system for its $54 million replacement hospital.

A joint venture of W.M. Jordan and McCarthy select OxBlue for a major expansion at the Virginia Commonwealth University's Critical Care Hospital in Richmond, VA.

Expansion of cellular coverage area for OxBlue service is increased to include the German market.

The OxBlue system is deployed on a major high rise project in downtown Seattle WA. The 450,000 SF 42-story Washington Mutual Center project will also house the Seattle Museum of Art.

OxBlue exhibits at 2005 ICSC Spring Convention in Las Vegas, NV. With over 40,000 in attendance the previous record was broken giving a strong indication of the strength of the industry and the general economy.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta selects the OxBlue system for a $270-million expansion program at its Egleston and Scottish Rite Campuses in Atlanta, GA.

Major network upgrade completed: OxBlue completed the installation of the new server cluster in Atlanta, Georgia within a hardened and secure facility. As part of a system wide upgrade all clients data is now hosted on a fully mirrored network with redundant servers, telecommunications, and power connections. The new server cluster allows for future capacity and multiple layers of security.

The Indiana Stadium & Convention Building Authority deploys the OxBlue system for the new home of the NFL Indianapolis Colts. The $500 million Indiana Stadium, featuring a retractable roof and seating for 63,000 for football, is scheduled for completion in August 2008.

Fast growing construction equipment retailer Northern Tool & Equipment standardizes on OxBlue in a multi-year deal, deploying an average 15 webcams at a time.

Harrah's deploys the OxBlue system for construction of its 26-story, 450 room Harrah's Hotel in New Orleans. The webcam reliably cranks out hourly images for the project team for the next 26 months. It even survives Hurricane Katrina, providing valuable intelligence during the days and weeks after the flooding when the project was inaccessible to the project team.

Nevada Dept. of Transportation deploys a 4-camera OxBlue system on its challenging Galena Creek Bridge project, part of the new Interstate 580 project linking Reno and Carson City.
