The Alert Engine

A milestone driven progress notification system. The Alert Engine sends the information people need to know, when they need to know it. The system is comprised of 3 parts; users, events and projects. The users are pulled from the approved user list for the project, the events are the predetermined project milestones, and the projects are the individual construction sites. For each project, as scheduled construction milestones are reached the Alert Engine notifies the appropriate team members regarding the construction status. This notification occurs by sending them an email containing a description of the milestone and the most current high-resolution image from the site.

An unlimited number of users and milestones can be handled by the system. Typical examples of common project milestones are:

• Construction start date
• Footing placement date
• Under roof date
• Pylon sign base completion date
• Completion date ready for fixtures

Project team members are kept immediately up to date on the status of the project. Milestones are quickly recognized and if the schedule begins to fall behind the appropriate team members are immediately aware. Even those team members with limited construction experience are able to quickly understand that the status of a project is falling behind and corrective action needs to be taken to deliver it on schedule.

Event Dashboard:

The event dashboard allows an overall view of the users and milestones for a particular project. To add or remove a scheduled notification for a particular user, simply click once on the corresponding box and it will add or remove the scheduled notification for that user.

Contacts:

This screen allows you to edit or delete users for a particular project. This screen can also be used to view the persons full name, company name and last login time.

Events:

This screen allows you to add, edit or delete milestones for a particular project. For each milestone there is a name, date and the ability to add more information or specific instructions to be taken upon reaching that milestone. For example, if the roofing contractor should be notified to proceed upon steel installation, detailed information regarding those instructions may be included in the notification for the steel installation milestone.

Projects:

This screen lists all of the active projects for a particular client. To access the users, milestones or event dashboards for any project simply click on the project name.

Alert Notification:

Upon reaching each project milestone, the system determines which users should be notified of the milestone. An automated email containing the milestone name, date of the milestone, description of the milestone and the latest high resolution image from the site with which to witness the particular milestone are sent.
