ATLANTA, April 28, 2014 – OxBlue, a leader and innovator in the construction camera industry, has launched an application for clients who use Android smartphones and tablets. This new app joins the company’s already existing iPhone app and mobile site to expand access to a greater number of their construction camera users who are often on the move and not at their computers.
The OxBlue Android application puts 24/7 access to all of a user’s job sites right in the palm of his hand anywhere in the world there is cellular service or wireless Internet.
Specifically, the new app enables users of Android devices to do the same things they can do with their laptop or desktop computer:
- View both their active and completed projects through high-resolution camera images
- Browse any of their job sites through the OxBlue construction webcam’s pan and zoom features
- Selectively view individual images at any time during the project using the interface’s calendar
- Share job site photos via email
Perhaps the most amazing thing the new app allows Android users to do is view high-definition time-lapse construction movies of any of their job sites using their devices. These movies are always up to date, thanks to OxBlue’s time-lapse algorithm.
“These time-lapse movies enable users to get – and convey to others – a valuable perspective on how a project is progressing.” –Bryan Mattern, OxBlue Chief Technology Officer
