OxBlue Announces Expansion to AI-Powered Tools
OxBlue is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) powered image analysis tools to include Search and Notifications. First released to clients in 2021 as Activity and Safety Analysis, these additional features help to further automate project reviews and improve transparency, safety and efficiency on construction projects.
Image Search provides users the ability to filter through thousands of photos to locate historical data in a matter of seconds. Using keywords and preset search filters, clients can quickly validate progress, find evidence to dispute claims or a host of other possibilities.
Notifications, another time-saving feature, passively monitors jobsite images for activity, safety or weather risks. Users can set notification parameters and frequency for email and in-product alerts to highlight potential concerns for timely follow-up and action.
“Construction professionals want actionable data without the need to sort through images, monitor weather or frequently visit the job site to keep up with progress,” said Rob Hall, Director of Product at OxBlue. “We created Notifications and Image Search to improve job site transparency and safety without the hassle. Essentially, our AI tools find that needle in a haystack.”
The new tools come after two years of continual testing and development. An early version of activity tracking monitored job sites during the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic. OxBlue published these findings in biweekly reports, detailing the impact state-wide shutdowns had on the construction industry. Once the COVID-19 reports ended, we expanded the early activity tracking tool’s capabilities and released Activity and Safety Analysis.
Activity Analysis captures, interprets and analyzes time-lapse images and live video streams to detect and report on job site progress within predefined work zones. Safety Analysis tracks hard hat and high-visibility vest usage, seamlessly showing safety compliance levels across the site. When combined with the additional tools, OxBlue makes it easier than ever to manage the jobsite from anywhere.
