The center – the heartbeat – of OxBlue is the production department. This team assembles the time-lapse construction cameras, ensuring that everything works perfectly when it leaves our warehouse. Without the production team, OxBlue wouldn’t be OxBlue.
So for the final week of Careers in Construction month, we’re focusing on the men and women who build the cameras that allow us to be of service to our clients.
What’s involved in the role?
Production specialists start off in the refurbishment area, taking care of clients’ cameras that have returned from a completed project. As part of OxBlue’s practice of servicing clients’ cameras at no cost between projects, the team makes hardware and software upgrades, as well as test the systems to ensure it meets the same high standards as a brand new system. It’s all part of OxBlue commitment to taking care of our clients.
In the second area, production specialists have graduated to building brand-new cameras like the Cobalt Series. These individuals have demonstrated that they have an eye for quality and are committed to improving the overall product. They can identify areas for process and product enhancements and work with the product team to implement them.
What does the future hold?
OxBlue is a technology company that runs parallel with the construction industry, and the technology is always evolving and moving forward. As a result, the production team will continually be updating and working with our product team to deliver the best solutions for our clients. The team focuses on delivering quality with every camera and taking care of our clients.

Production specialists at OxBlue are individuals who enjoy working with their hands and understand how things work. In other words, they are mechanically and technology minded and enjoy taking things apart and putting them back together again. They also pay very close attention to details like the circuitry and build process because one missed detail will result in the camera not passing quality control tests.
