The privacy of our visitors and members is very important to us. Since we do gather information about you, we provide this privacy statement to enable you to understand the terms and conditions associated with the collection of this data, as well as how we use it and how you can correct or change it. In addition, we make to you the following pledge: Unless you otherwise agree (as indicated below), the information you give us or that we collect about you will not be shared with any third party, except with those third parties providing services to us (“our service providers”) and then only in the form of statistical information which has been aggregated with other user information for the purposes of our own website research and development in an effort to better serve your needs.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
We collect information about you when you input it into the order form at https://www.oxblue.com/orders or when you otherwise provide it directly to us.
ACCOUNT AND PROFILE INFORMATION
We collect information about you when you register for an account, create or modify your profile, set preferences, sign-up for or make purchases through https://www.oxblue.com/orders. For example, you provide your contact information along with other project specific details when you place an order for a new camera, camera relocation order, Time-Lapse or Image Archive order. You also have the option of adding a display name, logo, and other details to your project profile to be displayed in our Interface. We keep track of your preferences when you select settings within the Interface.
CONTENT YOU PROVIDE THROUGH OUR PRODUCTS
The Services include the Interface where you view your project photographs and information you provide through the duration of your project. This content includes any information about you that you may choose to include. Examples of content we collect and store include: the Project name, Project address, Hardware mounting location, Power Source for Hardware and Interface Login preference, comments you communicate to us through the duration of the project, and any feedback you provide to us. We collect feedback you provide directly to us through the product and; we collect content using analytics techniques that filter or otherwise scrub the information to exclude information that might identify you or your organization; and we collect clickstream data about how you interact with and use features in the Interface.
CONTENT YOU PROVIDE THROUGH OUR WEBSITES
We collect content you submit to www.oxblue.com or Social Media websites operated by us. For example, you provide content to us when you provide feedback or when you participate in any interactive features, surveys, contests, promotions, sweepstakes, activities or events.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE THROUGH OUR SUPPORT CHANNELS
The Services also include our client support, where you may choose to submit information regarding a problem you are experiencing. Whether you designate yourself as a technical contact, open a support ticket, speak to one of our representatives directly or otherwise engage with our support team, you will be asked to provide contact information, a summary of the problem you are experiencing, and any other documentation, hardware installation photographs, screenshots or information that would be helpful in resolving the issue.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
We collect certain payment and invoicing information when you place an order. For example, we ask you to designate an invoicing representative, including name and contact information, upon ordering. You might also provide payment information, such as payment card details, which we collect via secure payment processing services.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY WHEN YOU USE THE SERVICES
We collect information about you when you use our Interface, including browsing our websites and taking certain actions within the Interface.
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES
We keep track of certain information about you when you visit and interact with our Interface. This information includes the features you use; frequently used search terms; and how you interact with the Share Services in the Interface.
DEVICE AND CONNECTION INFORMATION
We collect information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices you use to access the Services. This device information includes your connection type and settings when you install, access, update, or use our Services. We also collect information through your device about your operating system, browser type, IP address, URLs of referring/exit pages, device identifiers, and crash data. We use your IP address and/or country preference in order to approximate your location to provide you with a better Service experience. How much of this information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. Server and data center Service administrators can disable collection of this information via the administrator settings or prevent this information from being shared with us by blocking transmission at the local network level.
COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
OxBlue and our third-party partners, such as our advertising and analytics partners, use cookies and other tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, device identifiers and pixels) to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices.
INFORMATION WE RECEIVE FROM OTHER SOURCES
We receive information about you from other OxBlue users, from third-party services, and from our business and channel partners.
OTHER USERS OF THE SERVICES
Other users of our services may provide information about you when they communicate with us. For example, you may be mentioned by the person placing the order for OxBlue hardware as the site contact for installing the hardware or as the shipping contact for receiving the hardware. We also receive your email address from other service users when they provide it in order to invite you to use the Interface to view project images. Similarly, an administrator may provide your contact information when they designate you as the invoicing or site contact on your company’s account.
OTHER SERVICES YOU LINK TO YOUR ACCOUNT
We receive information about you when you or your administrator integrate or link a third-party service with our services. For example, if your company uses a project management tool that OxBlue offers as an integration you may use to access, display and store files in that third-party service directly from our Interface. You or your administrator may also integrate our Services with other services you use, such as to allow you to access, store, share and edit certain content to a third-party from our services. The information we receive when you link or integrate our Services with a third-party service depends on the settings, permissions and privacy policy controlled by that third-party service. You should always check the privacy settings and notices in these third-party services to understand what data may be disclosed to us or shared with our Services.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
To provide the Services and personalize your experience:
We use information about you to provide the Services to you, including to process transactions with you, authenticate you when you log in, provide customer support, and operate and maintain the Services. For example, we use the email address and name you provide in your account to identify you. Our Services also include tailored features that personalize your experience, enhance your productivity, and improve your ability to collaborate effectively with others by providing simplified search capabilities, notifications, and recommendations that are most relevant for you. For example, we may use your recent Interface utilization history to provide targeted feature education we think relevant to your user login role. We may use your email domain to infer your affiliation with a particular organization or industry to personalize the content and experience you receive on our websites. Where you use multiple Services, we combine information about you and your activities to provide an integrated experience, such as to allow you to view multiple projects in the Interface.
For research and development:
We are always looking for ways to make our Products and Services more useful to you – smarter, faster, secure and integrated. We use collective learnings about how people use our Services and feedback provided directly to us to troubleshoot and to identify trends, usage, activity patterns and areas for integration and improvement of the Products and Services. We also test and analyze certain new features with some users before rolling the feature out to all users.
To communicate with you about the Services:
We use your contact information to send transactional communications via email and within the Services, including confirming your order, reminding you of contract and lease expirations, responding to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support, and sending you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages. We also provide tailored communications based on your activity and interactions with us. For example, certain actions you take in the Interface may automatically trigger a feature or feature education, or feedback request within the Interface that would make that task easier. We also send you communications as you onboard. These communications are part of the Services and in most cases you cannot opt out of them. If an opt out is available, you will find that option within the communication itself or in your account settings.
To market, promote and drive engagement with the Services:
We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send promotional communications that may be of specific interest to you. These communications are aimed at driving engagement and maximizing what you get out of the Services, including information about new features, survey requests, newsletters, and events we think may be of interest to you. We also communicate with you about new product offers and promotions. You may opt out of our email list at any time by simply following the instructions to “Unsubscribe” within each newsletter or offering.
For Client Support:
We use your information to assist with Product installation, resolve technical issues you encounter, to respond to your requests for assistance, to analyze Product performance, and to repair and improve the Services.
For safety and security:
We use information about you and your Service use to verify accounts and activity, to monitor suspicious or fraudulent activity and to identify violations of Service policies.
To protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights:
Where required by law or where we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, interests and the interests of others, we use information about you in connection with legal claims, compliance, regulatory, and audit functions, and disclosures in connection with the acquisition, merger or sale of a business.
With your consent:
We use information about you where you have given us consent to do so for a specific purpose not listed above. For example, we may publish testimonials or featured customer stories to promote the Services, with your permission.
SHARING PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES
We share your information only where you ask us to, where it’s a necessary part of doing business with you and providing you with the services, or where we need to for legal reasons.
We share information relating to our users with selected third parties who provide us with a variety of different services that support the delivery of our services (let’s call them “Third Party Processors”). These Third Party Processors range from providers of technical infrastructure to Customs processing. We require any Third Party Processor which handles information on our behalf to do so pursuant to contractual terms which require that the information is kept secure, is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, and used only as we have instructed and not for that Third Party Processor’s own purposes (unless you have explicitly consented to them doing so).
Third Party Processors may be located in, or process your information, outside of the country in which you are based. Where our use of a Third Party Processor involves the transfer of personal data from within Europe to a location outside of the European Economic Area, we will put in place appropriate measures to ensure that the personal data is adequately protected in that location, most often by applying European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses alongside robust security checks.
The types of Third Party Processors we may share elements of your personal data with include:
- Payment processors engaged by us to securely handle payment information
- Shipping services, including shipment handling and Customs clearing, engaged to handle the shipment of hardware between OxBlue and Customer
ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS
You can choose to subscribe to one of our FREE electronic newsletters. These newsletters are distributed through our service provider. To subscribe, simply complete our online web inquiry form. From time to time, you may be asked to provide additional information such as job title, number of employees, country of origin, and type of business. As a subscriber to our newsletter, you also agree to receive advertisements, promotions, and special communications from OxBlue.com and its partners. You can remove yourself from our newsletter email lists by simply following the “Unsubscribe” directions included in each newsletter you receive. Please be assured that the information you give us or that we collect about you in connection with your subscription to our electronic newsletters will not be shared with any third party, except with our service providers and then only in the form and for the purposes stated in the above Privacy Pledge.
USAGE REPORTS
In order to better understand traffic patterns on any site owned and operated by OxBlue.com, we analyze our site activity to obtain overall usage statistics. These usage statistics provide us with certain information obtained through the use of cookies and from data within the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser). Information we collect from the browser string includes a domain name, browser type, operating system, geographic origin, referring domain and MIME type. Cookies allow us to track behavior on the site to determine content preferences and usage patterns. This information is for internal consumption and is only shared with third parties on a statistically aggregated basis. No specific or personally identifiable information collected through this process is ever shared with a third party.
EMAIL DATA ANALYSIS
From time to time, we provide our email lists (newsletters & special offers) to our service providers, who in turn provide us with specialized services, such as email message deployment, merge-purge (identifying and removing duplicate addresses) of lists, statistical analysis, and other data processing. Please be assured that the information you give us or that we collect about you in connection with your subscription to our electronic newsletters and/or special offers will not be shared with any third party, except with our service providers, and then for the purposes stated in the above Privacy Pledge.
All sites owned and operated by OxBlue.com use cookies. A cookie is a small data file written to your hard drive. Cookies allow us to understand user behavior so we can more effectively develop information and programs to serve you better. Our third party ad serving company delivers a one-time cookie to your hard drive in order to better track ad impressions and click-through rates generated by your activity on our websites. Advertisers require information regarding ad impressions and click-through rates, and by providing them with this information, we are able to keep our websites free to our visitors. Please be assured that, except for sharing impressions and click-through rates with our third-party advertisers, the information you give us or that we collect about you in connection with our use of cookies will not be shared with any other third party, except with our service providers, and then only in the form and for the purposes stated in the above Privacy Pledge. Please be aware that when you’re on OxBlue.com or any site owned by OxBlue.com, or when you receive an email message from us on behalf of a marketer according to permission granted through our opt-in process for newsletters and special offers, you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control, such as the marketer’s site. There may also be links to other sites from OxBlue.com pages or from the email message we send you that take you outside OxBlue.com. These other sites may send their own cookies to visitors, collect data or solicit personal information. In addition to OxBlue.com visitors providing permission to receive newsletters and special offers, we do work with various marketing partners to promote our newsletters and special offers to their visitors. Each promotion on third-party sites is branded under OxBlue.com.
YOUR CONSENT
OxBlue collects information provided during order placement to facilitate order fulfillment and support.
You are entitled to be sent a copy of your personal data, request correction of your data, or request deletion or removal of your data.
OxBlue may be required to disclose personal information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Where the legal basis for us processing your personal data is that you have provided your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, this will not make processing which we undertook before you withdrew your consent unlawful. Please be aware that, in certain circumstances, where you do not provide personal information which is required by us, we will not be able to provide the products and services under our contract with you. You will be made aware if this situation arises and what the consequences of not provided the personal information will be.
SECURITY
Protecting the security of your personal information is very important to us. When we store information you’ve provided to us, that information is protected by security measures that include “firewalls” (a combination of computer hardware and software that helps keep unauthorized visitors from accessing information within our computer network), “intrusion detection systems” (a combination of computer hardware and software that helps detect any unauthorized visitors), and a “secure socket layer” (data encryption used when transmitting certain information). Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data repository can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. DEACTIVATING
Any user receiving our electronic newsletter or who receives regular offers from our partners may opt out of our email list at any time by simply following the instructions to “Unsubscribe” within each newsletter or offering.
